"Count Your Many Blessings"

You've no doubt met some folks that dwell on the negataives of life. So have I. They drain your enthusiam, waste your energy, and are eager for you to align yourself with their moans and groans. If there's a club membership for this group - I'm not interested in a subscription!

The Bible says: "The Joy of the Lord is My Strength." (Nehemiah 8:10) Did you know that there are 169 verses in the Bible using the word "joy?" Apparently the Biblical authors knew that word well, and knew what joy meant!

As we approach our 100th anniversary celebration this summer, we should do so with JOY! Take a look at the many blessings God has given you lately, and given the New Liberty UMC during the past 100 years. You might find yourself singing that great old hymn "Count Your Many Blessings." We've got a lot of counting to do!

Be blessed today - and become a blessing to someone in our community!
